The City of Greenville is ordering all residents to stay home to help combat the spread of the coronavirus, according to a story posted on www.witn.com.

The order goes into effect at 5 pm on Thursday (March 26) and remains until April 10 unless otherwise noted.

The “stop the spread” order means residents can still go to the grocery store or pharmacy, help people in need, visit the doctor, go to the restaurant for takeout, deliver, or drive-thru, walk pets, take them to the vet, take a walk, bike or jog as long as you maintain six feet from anyone else.

Greenville officials say that employees should not go to work unless they provide essential services. Visit www.witn.com for a list of businesses that are deemed to provide essential services and other important information.
