SALISBURY, MD – Doris Wiggins Hickman, age 77, of Salisbury, Maryland, formerly of Ahoskie, NC, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2020 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

Born on October 18, 1942 in Ahoskie, NC, she was the daughter of the late J. D. Wiggins and Inez H. Wiggins. She was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Ahoskie, NC.

Doris is survived by her loving and caring husband of 41 years, Ronny, of Salisbury, MD; niece Anna O. Hodges and her husband Brandon of Greenville, NC; nephew Brian Overton and his wife Tania of Greenville, NC; sister Shirley W. Overton and her husband Johnny of Ahoskie, NC; great niece, Cali; great nephew, Isaac; step great nephews, Malachi and Lucas, all of Greenville, NC; and numerous cousins.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, uncles, aunts and other relatives.

She enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, Ronny, as well as shopping.

She worked in the banking industry for 36 years, first at First National Bank, then at M & T Bank in Salisbury.

Doris was a loving sister, aunt, and a dear friend to many people. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.

Due to travel restrictions and precautionary measures, which should be adhered to because of the coronavirus, services will be scheduled at a later date which will be held at the Wicomico Memorial Park, Salisbury, MD. Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury, MD., is handling the arrangements.
