MURFREESBORO – A teen reported missing on Monday has been found safe and unharmed.

The Murfreesboro Police Department originally sent out an Amber Alert for 15-year-old Dynaja Foreman on Monday, June 29 after she had last been seen by her parents the night before.

Police Chief David Griffith told the News Herald she was found safely near Ahoskie late Monday afternoon.

“Family members picked her up and brought her to the Murfreesboro Police Department where she was interviewed and released back into her parents’ custody,” Griffith said. “She was never in any danger.”

The Murfreesboro Police conducted the search with assistance from the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies.

Foreman’s safe return was welcomed on many fronts, including a message from the National Center For Missing and Endangered, Inc. On their Facebook page, a NCME official wrote, “[We] would like to thank the Murfreesboro Police Department for doing one AWESOME and VERY PROFESSIONAL job, without any hesitation and in a very timely manner which greatly helped locate this juvenile quickly.”
