AULANDER, NC – Jeanie Conner Grissino, age 80, of Main Street, Aulander, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

A native of Bertie County, Mrs. Grissino was born on June 16, 1940 to Percy Conner and Doris Hall Conner in Aulander, NC. Jeanie was a great homemaker, enjoyed cooking and loved her family dearly. She loved to plant flowers and tend them as they grew. She cherished her time in the Women’s Army Corp (WAC) and loved to dance. Jeanie will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Cleo, Kitty, Tommy Lee Conner, Raymond Conner, and Coy Conner.

Jeanie is survived by her loving husband, Armando; two sons, John Grissino and wife Sherry of Burlington, NC, and Dino Grissino and wife Kim of Palm Bay, FL; four sisters, Marlene, Carolyn, Dorothy, and Gloria; two brothers, Russell and David Conner; two granddaughters, Anna and Maria Grissino, both of Burlington, NC; two grandsons, Sean Grissino of Burlington, NC, and Anthony Grissino of Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life service at a later time.
