HERTFORD, NC – Kathy Elaine Hurdle, 68, a longtime resident of Hobbsville, and more recently of Hertford, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in her home.

Miss Hurdle was born in Chowan County on February 21, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Richard Ephraim “Dick” and Mildred Hollowell Hurdle. A retired bookkeeper, she had been employed with Kellogg-Morgan Insurance Agency in Sunbury for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, DiAnne Hurdle Bryant.

Surviving are her brother, Billy Richard Hurdle of Clemmons; a brother-in-law, Rosser Edward Bryant of Franklin, VA; and a niece, Susan Bryant and husband, Benjamin Rusnak, of Boca Raton, FL.

Due to concerns associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic and the precautions many are taking, no services will be held at this time.
