Lady Eagles drop volleyball opener at Terra Ceia Christian

PANTEGO – Northeast Academy opened its 2020 volleyball season on the road at Terra Ceia Christian Academy here Tuesday, Sept. 15.

In varsity action, the Lady Eagles took Terra Ceia to four sets, but came out on the short end of a 13-25, 19-25, 25-13, 22-25 decision.

Savannah Martin led Northeast with six aces and two kills. Kenley Moore added three aces and one kill. Gracie Baker (three aces), Leah McDermott (one ace), and Allie Liverman (two kills) also turned in good efforts for NEA.

The Northeast Academy junior varsity team lost their season opener in straight sets, falling 20-25 and 17-25.

Kennedy Hatcher (three aces), Chloe Long (two aces), Hayes Hatcher (one ace), and Payton Odom (one ace) led the way for the NEA jayvees.
