LASKER – Northeast Academy hosted Terra Ceia here last week in TIC volleyball action.

It was Senior Night at Northeast as the school recognized the 12th graders on its team.

In varsity action, the Lady Eagles dropped the first two sets (26-28, 16-25), but refused to go down without a fight.

Northeast rallied to win the next two sets (25-17, 25-14) to set-up a match-deciding fifth set. In that set, the Lady Eagles fought hard to the very end, but came out on the short end of a 14-16 decision.

Leading the way for Northeast were Allie Liverman (1 ace, 3 blocks, 1 kill), Savannah Martin (4 aces, 5 kills, 3 digs), Kayleigh Roberts (1 ace, 1 block), Kate Coggins (1 ace), Kenley Moore (3 aces, 4 kills, 1 block), and Sarah Kate Ricks (1 ace, 1 kill).

In junior varsity action, Northeast won in straight sets by identical scores of 25-12, 25-12.

Kennedy Hatcher (5 aces), Maddy Bethel (2 aces), Payton Odom (4 aces), and Karson Ricks (2 aces 1 kill) led the way for the Northeast jayvees.
