RICH SQUARE – Edward Frazier Helms, age 75, of Cooke Circle, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Vidant Edgecombe Hospital of Tarboro, NC.

Mr. Helms was born on June 16, 1945 to the late Myers Parker “M.P.” and Edna Louise Thomas Helms in Anson County, NC. Frazier was a devoted member of Rich Square United Methodist Church. He was the President of Transit Parts where he has dedicated his life to the business and the friendships that he has made over the years. Frazier loved his family dearly and enjoyed the time he got to spend with them. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Frazier is survived by his loving wife, Thelma, of the home; daughter, Wanda Smith and husband Randy of Conway; two sons, Ricky Hoggard and wife Shirley of Aulander, and Ken Brown and wife Terri of Conway; three grandsons, Chad Smith wife Angie of Conway, Michael Hoggard of Aulander, and Colby Brown of Conway; granddaughter, Allison Satterfield and husband Alan of Roxboro; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Trinity, Brantley, Emily; and a brother, Anthony Helms and wife Anne of GA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square, and other times at the home.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Rich Square United Methodist Church, Rich Square, NC, with Rev. Walter Johnston, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Rich Square, NC.
