Voters in two Roanoke-Chowan area towns will cast ballots in new locations for the upcoming municipal election on Nov. 2.

The Woodland-Potecasi voting precinct, previously located at the Woodland Community Center, has been relocated to Jerusalem Baptist Church, located at 205 Myrtle Street in Woodland as the polling site.

The new name for this precinct is Woodland/Potecasi, according to the Northampton County Board of Elections, who voted to approve the change in location effective immediately.

Spinosa Clements, Director of the Northampton Board of Elections, said voters who are affected by the change should expect to receive a voter notification card in the near future.

Meanwhile, at a meeting held on Zoom on Sept. 17, the Bertie County Board of Elections adopted a resolution that designates the Roxobel Town Hall as the polling place for the nonpartisan municipal election for the Town of Roxobel.
