WINDSOR – A search warrant executed at a residence on Cypress Lane here left one man incarcerated on a $1 million bond.

Bertie County Sheriff John Holley reported that officers from his Narcotics Unit served a warrant Monday at 120B Cypress Lane and three people were arrested on drug charges.

“We came to the search warrant thanks to an on-going investigation,” Holley said.

Narcotics Officers Sgt. Dwayne Outlaw, Martin Phelps and Matt Roebuck served the warrant and reportedly found 69 grams of crack cocaine in the residence along with drug paraphernalia and small amounts of marijuana.

Three people who lived at the address were arrested after the drugs were discovered.

Trent Demond Bellamy, 40, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II narcotic, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, trafficking cocaine, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail under a $1 million secured bond.

Also arrested were Lamisha Spivey, 23, and John Cade Jr., 22. Those two were each charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II narcotic, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, trafficking cocaine, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and simple possession of marijuana.

Spivey and Cade were placed in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail, each under a $350,000 secured bond.

Holley said he appreciated the work of his officers and also thanked the Department of Corrections for their assistance.
