JACKSON – The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office has made the following arrests since mid-March:
On 3/16/2023, Deputy T. Stephenson responded to a domestic disturbance outside of Conway. Upon arrival and investigation, Stephenson was able to later locate an involved party during a vehicle stop. During vehicle stop investigation, Stephenson determined that 29-year-old Jonvonte Williams of Murfreesboro had outstanding warrants out of Hertford County for felony possession of cocaine. In addition, Williams was served additional warrants for 2nd degree trespass and resisting a public officer. He received a total bond of $2,500 secured.
On 3/17/2023, Northampton deputies and narcotics unit responded to Hardee’s in Gaston in reference to an unresponsive driver in the drive thru line. The male driver / occupant was treated by EMS. Upon arrival and investigation, numerous vials of methamphetamine were found on the driver and within the vehicle. 38-year-old Christopher Acree of Lacrosse, VA was arrested by the narcotics unit and charged with one count possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule I controlled substance and one count felony possession of a controlled substance. He received a $7,500 secured bond.
On 3/23/2023, Deputy M. Squire and Sgt. M. Sledge responded to a domestic disturbance in Henrico. Upon arrival and investigation, deputies arrested 23-year-old Dantavious Parker where he was charged with assault on a female, communicating threats, and injury to real property. He received a $500 secured bond.
On 4/3/2023, Dallas Hollowell of Roanoke Rapids was arrested by Roanoke Rapids P.D. and served outstanding warrants from Northampton County. He was served pending warrants for one count of felony larceny, one count felony possession of stolen goods, and one count of misdemeanor injury to personal property. These warrants were obtained on 3/31/23 by Detective Sgt. W. Killian for an investigation that began on 3/21/2023, where it was reported that numerous amounts of copper wire valued at over $30,000 was stolen from a solar farm site outside of Pleasant Hill. He received a $20,000 secured bond.
Dallas Hollowell has since bonded out of jail and currently has additional outstanding pending warrants for breaking & entering, larceny after breaking & entering, possession of stolen goods, and second degree trespass. These warrants were obtained by Detective Sgt. L. Baker for an investigation that began on 3/15/2023 where it was reported copper wire and numerous other scrap metal items valued at over $5,000 were stolen from property.
On 4/4/2023, Deputy J. Comeaux served an outstanding warrant on 41-year-old Rahjon Willis of Chesterfield, VA for identity theft, obtaining property by false pretense, and exploitation of disabled / elderly. He received a $10,000 secured bond. This warrant stems from an investigation that began on 10/24/2022 by Sgt. W. Killian where it was reported money was stolen from a female’s bank account in excess of $23,000. There are three other suspects pending warrant service in this case investigation.
On 4/6/2023, the Northampton Co. Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Halifax Co. Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Halifax Co. Sheriff’s Office deputies, and Roanoke Rapids Police Dept. conducted a search at a residence within Gaston. During the search, 6.9 grams of cocaine was found, 4.5 grams of fentanyl, ammunition, and numerous other items of drug paraphernalia. Damien Mitchell of Gaston was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to sell and deliver Schedule II, one count of Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substance, and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $20,000 secured bond and a court date scheduled for 4/13/2023.
On 4/17/2023, Sgt. G. Williams responded to a location for a suspicious vehicle in Pleasant Hill area. Upon arrival, he located a female identified as 37-year-old Dawn Tripp of Gaston. Upon investigation, it was determined that Tripp had outstanding warrants out of Roanoke Rapids P.D. for habitual larceny. She was arrested and served outstanding warrants where she received a $2,500 secured bond and a court date scheduled for 4/27/2023.
