ROCKY MOUNT n Donald Lee Thomas Sr., 59, died November 20, 2006 at his residence.

HALIFAX n William Archie “Bubba” Williams Jr., 72, a native of Halifax County, died November 19, 2006 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.

A graveside service was conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Community Center Baptist Church by the Rev. A. Craig Gaither. Massey Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, was in charge.

Williams was a veteran of the US Army and a farmer.

Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Meadows Williams of Halifax; daughters, Brenda Futrell of Murfreesboro and Ruth Williams of Halifax; a son, Tom Williams of Greenville; his mother, Ola Mae Gaither Williams of Halifax; stepchildren, Ricky Miles, James Miles, Eddie Miles, Lori Warren and Kris Miles; his sisters, Eunice Williams Powell and Martha Elizabeth W. Weaver, both of Roanoke Rapids; his brother, Marvin Williams of Halifax; three grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
