Elsie H. Lassiter

SUNBURY — Elsie Hobbs Lassiter, 92, a native of Gates County, died December 28, 2007, in Winslow Memorial Home, Elizabeth City. She was the widow of Walter Jackson Lassiter.

Mrs. Lassiter was a homemaker, she was a member of Warwick Baptist Church

Survivors include two daughters, Norene L. Spivey of Sun-bury and Patricia L. Casper of Gatesville; two brothers, Edi-son Hobbs of Chesapeake and Wendell Hobbs of Hobbsville; five granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral was conducted Sunday in Warwick Baptist Church by the Rev. Gene Asbill. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Miller Funeral Home was in charge.
