CONWAY – Police are on the look out for a thief who stole an undetermined amount of money from a local business here.
Conway Police Chief Billy Wayne Duke said sometime after 6 p.m. on Jan. 29 some one broke into the Flythe Brother’s Shell Station located on East Main Street.
According to Duke, the thief made his or her entry by breaking a window out with a board. The burglar then used bolt cutters from within the business to cut a padlock on a safe.
Duke said the robber took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing.
“The owner discovered (the robbery) on Wednesday,” said Duke.
He added the owner of the business is offering a $500 reward for information about the crime.
Duke urged anyone with knowledge of the crime to come forward and assured all information will be held confidential.
Those with information can contact Duke at (252) 396-5553 or the Northampton County Crime Stoppers hotline at (252) 534-1110.
