Liverman#8217;s edges MWB

AULANDER – Liverman’s Metal Recycling built a 12-9 lead and held on to win 12-11 over MWB Repairs here Thursday.
The Aulander Youth League victory came thanks to a perfect 2-for-2 performance from Eric Baggett, who added two runs. A.J. Liverman and Tyler Jones were each 1-for-2 for Liverman’s.
Austin Brinkley picked up the pitching victory while striking out three.
Woody Lowe led MWB Repairs with a 2-for-3 performance that included three runs scored. David Barnes and Matt Calderado were each 1-for-3.
Liverman led 6-4 after one inning, but MWB rallied to take a 9-8 lead after two complete. Liverman’s scored four times in the top of the third and held MWB to just a pair of runs in the bottom of the same inning. Neither team scored in the fourth frame.
Burke Trucking n 19, NeoPods n 15
Burke Trucking scored four runs in the first inning and that proved to be the difference in a 19-15 win over the Neo-Pods Thursday.
Ivey Lassiter led Burke Trucking with a 2-for-3 performance that included two runs scored. Collin Peace and Andre Mitchell were also 2-for-3.
The Neo-Pods were led by Tiffany Willoughby with a 2-for-2 night that included a pair of scored runs. Austin Burkett was 2-for-3 for the Neo-Pods and Katie Lassiter was 1-for-2.
Golden Peanut – 13, Millennium Styles n 9
Golden Peanut scored eight times in the bottom of the third to rally from a 9-5 deficit and defeat Millennium Styles.
Golden Peanut was led by Allie Rushing and Brittany Hoggard, each of whom was 1-for-1. Brittany Howell was 1-for-2.
Taylor White was the winning pitcher, tossing three innings with two strikeouts. Jessica Mobley suffered the loss and also struck out two.
Mandy Bazemore was 3-for-3 and Casey Minton 2-for-2 to lead the offensive attack for Millennium Styles. France Eure was 1-for-2.
