AHOSKIE – It was all Ridgecroft all the time.

The Lady Rams took a 9-0 tennis victory over Tarheel Independent Conference rival Lawrence Academy Wednesday afternoon to record victory number three for the season.

Ridgecroft top seed Tayler Smith claimed a perfect 8-0 victory over Hallie Corbett for the Rams. Taylor Futrell, Katie Futrell and Roxie Daniels all did the same for Ridgecroft. Taylor Futrell defeated McCaul Nelson, Katie Futrell knocked off Sarah Meggison and Daniels beat Laura Bailey.

Lady Rams’ second seed Carolina Bowman defeated Annie Gray Dixon 8-2 while number four Alex Riddick topped Hayden Thompson by the same score.

In number one doubles, Smith and Bowman defeated Corbett and Thompson 8-4 while Futrell and Riddick defeated Dixon and Nelson 8-0. The final match went to K. Futrell and Daniels, who defeated Meggison and Bailey 8-1.

Ridgecroft was on the road at Kerr-Vance Academy yesterday (Friday). They went into that match 3-1 for the season.
