Nellie Goode-Benton, 68, a native of Northampton County, died September 30, 2008 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Margarettsville by the Rev. A.I. Walton Sr. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Faison’s Funeral Home, Inc., Seaboard, is in charge. A visitation will be conducted from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Patrena Brown of Durham, Gerald Goode of Raleigh and Kim Goode of Woodland; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
