Dorothy Jenkins

Dorothy McMahon Jenkins, 86, went to be with her Lord Wednesday evening, October 15, at the home of her daughter, Dottie Benton where she had been surrounded by her family during her illness.
She had been preceded in death by two daughters, Florence “Sissy” Harrell and Dana Hall.
She was a native of Larimer County, Colorado but moved frequently because her father was in the military. She settled in North Carolina and spent the last 20 years in Roanoke Rapids at Becker Manor where she made lasting friendships and taught Sunday School. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Russell “Buddy” James of Gaston; two daughters, Susan Judkins of Suffolk, VA and Dottie Benton and husband, J.E., who gave devoted care to “Dot” during her illness, of Union; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 8 great, great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for her will be held Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway with Rev. Joe Lassiter presiding.
