William Surry “Billy” Wiggins Jr., 80, of Virginia Road, died Friday, April 17, 2009 in his home.
A native of Gates County, he was a machinist at Norfolk Shipyard and also an owner/operator of a CB radio shop in Hobbsville.
A member of Gatesville Baptist Church and Suffolk Moose Lodge, he was a US Air Force veteran.
Survivors include sons, William Wiggins III of Hobbsville, Robert Wiggins of Tyner and Kenneth Wiggins of Hobbsville; two sisters, Sarah Ann and Susan; a brother, Jeff Wiggins of Gatesville; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held on Monday, April 20 in the Wiggins Family Cemetery, Carters Crossroads, by the Rev. Gene Asbill.
