Beatrice “Bea” Tann Speight, 73, of Colerain died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at her home.
A native of Bertie County, she was a farmer by trade and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Harrellsville.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Speight of Aulander and Maxine Jefferson of Ahoskie; four sisters, Millie Miller of Wilmington, DE, Essie Edwards of Colerain, Linda Harrell of Newport News, VA. and Shirley Holley of Ahoskie; two brothers, Gary Tann of Newport News, VA and Ronald Tann of Windsor; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 15 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Harrellsville with the Rev. Robert Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
