Jane Bridges

Jane Kern Bridges, 82, of Ahoskie died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in her home. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and known to many as “Mama Jane”.
She grew up in Castle Hayne, North Carolina.
Jane has been reunited in heaven with her husband, Lawrence “Buddy” Bridges.
She is survived by her children, Susan Stuart of Lewisville, NC, Jeff Bridges of Greenville, NC, Mike Bridges of Ahoskie, NC and Alison Bridges Phlegar of Ahoskie, NC; her sister, Dorothy Cribbens of Raleigh, NC; ten grandchildren, Clay and Andrew Stuart, Lauren, Ryan and Chelsea Pierce, Robbie and Kim Bridges, Justin and Steven Phlegar, and Melissa Faulkoner; and four great-grandchildren, Josiah Bridges, Luna Merenda, and Chloe and Ethan Stuart.
Jane was the president of Women’s Aglow in Eastern North Carolina for many years and devoted her life to serving Christ through love and prayer.
A visitation/memorial service was held at The Carpenter’s Shop Church in Ahoskie on Friday, October 30 followed by a graveside service at Highland Memorial Gardens.
