Evelyn D. Porter, 68, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her residence.
She was a native of Hertford County.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Porter of Cofield and Conell Porter and Thonnia Porter, both of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Esther Spivey of Como; three brothers, Raleigh Porter of Margarettsville, Ryland Porter of Hampton, VA and Carl Porter of New York, NY; a sister, Jaunita Jenkins of Newark, NJ; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29 at Parkers Grove Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. Fernando Temple Sr. officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
