Johnnie E. Dudley, 65, of Newark, NJ and formerly of Ahoskie died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Newark, NJ.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Conoconary Baptist Church, Aulander, and a member of King Martin Lodge in East Orange, NJ. He was retired from Textile Paints and Master Car Detail.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Dudley; children Tyrone Dudley, Karen Dudley and Terry Dudley; brothers, Melvin Dudley of Queens, NY and Donald Dudley of Red Bank, NJ; sisters, Diann Dudley Powell of East Orange, NJ, Rev. Theresa Dudley Gaskins of Queens, NY and Annette Dudley Smallwood of Newport News, VA; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Perry’s Funeral Home Chapel, Mercer Street, Newark, NJ.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9 at Conoconary Baptist Church with the Rev. Theresa Dudley Gaskins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
