Johnny Robert Chavis, 54, of Ahoskie died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Johnetta S. Chavis of Ahoskie; two sons, Patrick Chavis of Maryland and Desmond Dillard of Ahoskie; two daughters, Lisa Chavis of Harrellsville and Robyn Demary; three brothers, Rudolph Chavis Jr, Kenneth Chavis and Michael Chavis, all of Ahoskie; four sisters, Lorraine Mitchell, Deborah Chavis, Marilyn Watford and Carolyn Bond, all of Ahoskie; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 29 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, Ahoskie, with the Rev. Robert Sessoms officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
