Delia L. Melendez Freeman, 53, of Ahoskie died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she was a daycare assistant at Noah’s Ark Day Care.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Freeman of the home; two daughters, Latoya Sutton of Merry Hill and Shadia Freeman of Ahoskie; her mother, Eleanor Melendez of Ahoskie; two brothers, Valeriano Melendez III and Eric Melendez, both of Ahoskie; a sister, Denise Gatling of Maryland; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27 at Soul Saving Station with Pastor Jarvis Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
