Oliver Wendell Taylor, 86, of Ahoskie died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his residence.
Survivors include a son, Roy Oliver Powell of Durham; a step-son, Bobby Powell of East Orange, NJ; three daughters, Carolyn Powell of Ahoskie, Brenda Jordan of Gates and Mary Simmons of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Jessie Mae Knight of Portsmouth, Va.; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 12 noon at Saturday May 15 at Conoconary Missionary Baptist Church in Aulander with the Rev. Milton Lee officiating. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Ahoskie.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
