MURFREESBORO — It’s a culinary tour for the taste buds.

On Sunday, Taste of Murfreesboro will be held at the Commons Wine Bistro from 4-6 p.m.

This is the second year for the event and organizers hope it is as well attended as last year.

“It was very successful last year, approximately 175 people attended,” said Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Chairman Danny Blowe.

Taste of Murfreesboro is a fundraiser for the Chamber in order to promote the town.

Taste of Murfreesboro will entertain with goodies from 14 of the area’s best chefs. Blowe said a variety of dishes will be featured, including salads, hors d’oeuvres, soups and casseroles.

The public is invited to attend and sample a variety of dishes. Some recipes will be available for purchase.

The cooks will set up under tents behind the Bistro and other activities will be featured inside. The Potecasi String Band will provide musical entertainment.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 until Friday. They also can be bought at the door for $12.50.

Parking will be available from the back entrance of the property on West Broad Street and informal dress is encouraged.
