WINTON – The 2nd Annual Detrick L. White Softball Tournament will be held on June 19 at the C.S. Brown field in Winton.

Detrick White, who was loved by many and a very gifted Softball player, tragically lost his life on February 28, 2009 and this event was organized in his honor by family and friends.

Last years event was a success and Detrick’s team, The Undertakers, won first place and took home the inaugural trophy.

This event, which begins at 9 a.m., is open to the public and is family oriented so all ages are welcome to come out and enjoy the festivities.There will be free food and soft drinks served, music, and plenty of softball.Come out and remember a dear father, son and friend.

Donations will be accepted and proceeds will go to a scholarship fund for Detrick’s daughter.
