WINDSOR — The Bertie County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. today (Tuesday).

The school board will discuss personnel matters, school system contracts and other matters.

On Friday, the board suspended Superintendent of Schools Dr. Chip Zullinger. Whether or not the board will take action on the superintendent’s contract has not been announced.

An attempt to reach Board Attorney Rod Malone for comment was unsuccessful as he is not in the office this week.

It was a letter from Malone to Dr. Zullinger that informed the superintendent of his status with the board on Friday.
