Phelps, Turner marry in Cedar Point

CEDAR POINT – Jimmy and Evie Phelps announce the marriage of their mother, Becky Phelps, to Sam C. Turner on December 20, 2010.
The wedding was held at Shipwrights Cove in Cedar Point, NC. The service was officiated by the bride’s brother, the Rev. Bryan Keith Lassiter, of Cedar Point.

The bride is the daughter of Marshall and Mary Lassiter, of Severn, NC. The bridegroom is the son of the late Myrtle Turner and the late J.F. “Buck” and Mary Turner of Jackson, NC.
The bride was escorted and presented by her son, Jimmy Phelps. The bride’s daughter, Evie Phelps, served as maid of honor.
The bride wore a western style tea-length bridal gown with a lace shawl. The ensemble was complete with white western boots and hat. The bridegroom wore a dark suit with tie and kerchief to match the wedding colors of silver and black.
The wedding was conducted by Christy Lassiter and Daris Ledbetter, of Flowers by Daris. A reception followed the wedding.
The bride and bridegroom spent their honeymoon on the beautiful Crystal Coast of Wilmington, NC. The couple will reside in Jackson.
