To the Editor:

This letter is to my friends and neighbors on Little Island Road and around the Eure area.

The rental business is a very big gamble. You never know how a renter will turn out to be. We hope for good people to fit in the community, stay with you for a length of time, and take care of your property. Unfortunately, that does not always happen.

I am very lucky to the fact of having some very good people living in my houses. This was not the case of the last one. I was misled and played for an idiot.

I sincerely apologize to my neighbors, friends and other renters for allowing this to happen. I will strive to do better when and if I rent again.

Also, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Gates County Sheriff’s Department. They acted in a very sincere, dedicated and professional manner of handling what could have been a very dangerous situation.

Again, thanks and my apologies to all of you.
