Dr. Frances Baker of Windsor announces the engagement of her daughter, Shannon Marie Baker, of Winterville to Jonathan Travis Powell of Greenville. Shannon is also the daughter of the late Ray Neil Baker, Sr. Travis is the son of Lou and Laura Powell of Vanceboro. Shannon is the granddaughter of the late Ledrew and Sybil Baker of Windsor, and the late Frank and Lucy Spruill of Edenton. The bride to be graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing and is a clinical assistant professor in the East Carolina University College of Nursing.  The groom to be graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Industrial Technology and is employed by East Carolina University.  A wedding is planned for June 14, 2013 at Yankee Hall Plantation in Greenville.
