Agnes U. Belch

COLERAIN – Agnes Underwood Belch, age 75, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice. She was born in Hertford County on July 27, 1938 to the late Phillip D. Underwood and Martha Moore Underwood.
Mrs. Belch earned a two year business degree from Chowan College, and was retired as secretary for Lea Lumber Company in Windsor. She was a member of Wakelon Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Trudy B. Jones and husband, Dale, of Cofield, and Traci B. White and husband, Jim, of Colerain; son, Danny R. Belch and wife, Cora Lee, of Colerain; sister, Phyllis U. Bryant and husband, W.C., of Murfreesboro; brothers, Jerry Underwood and wife, Cathy, of Elizabeth City, and Arnold Underwood and wife, Linda, of Goldsboro, and grandchildren, Ashley Rebecca Jones of Harrellsville, Danielle Lee Belch of Colerain, James Douglas Bostick of Greenville, Chase Curtis White of Colerain, and Brook Elizabeth White of Colerain.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Belch was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Belch.
Family will receive friends at her home.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
