POTECASI – An alleged attack, to include hedge clippers and a toilet tank lid, between a husband and wife has landed both in jail.
According to a report filed by the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew Saxon, 42, and his 52-year-old wife, Luceda Parker, were both charged with assault with a deadly weapon. They are jailed under no bond at this time and each has a July 7 court date.
On June 11, Northampton County Sheriff’s Deputy Justine Wilkins was the first officer to respond to a domestic situation at a residence on Potecasi Lane. Wilkins initially located Saxon who informed the Deputy that there was an argument between him and his wife. Saxon alleged that Parker had assaulted him with a pair of hedge clippers, causing a small mark to his arm.
Northampton Deputies Chris Collier and Chris Hamm arrived to assist in the investigation. The deputies then talked with Parker about what had happened. She told deputies that she and Saxon were arguing and Saxon told her to go outside. Once outside, Saxon allegedly assaulted her with a bicycle, lawn mower, and a toilet tank lid.
Parker had some injuries to her legs that the deputies noted in their report.
Deputy Wilkins arrested and charged the husband and wife.
