Jackson man arrested in motorcycle theft

JACKSON – A Jackson man stands charged with the theft of a motorcycle
On Aug. 20, a report was filed with Deputy D.B. Simmons of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office about a larceny of a motorcycle. The victim told Simmons that the larceny occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19 and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 (the day it was discovered missing).
The motorcycle was taken from the shed in the back yard of a residence.
Northampton Sheriff’s Investigator Courtney Williams was assigned the case. During the course of the investigation he developed a suspect in the larceny.
On Aug. 22, Investigator Williams arrested Reginald Eugene Hardy, 28 of Jackson, and charged him with larceny of motor vehicle and possession of stolen goods. Hardy was given a $10,000 bond and a court date of Sept. 8.
The motorcycle was recovered with no damage.
