Woodland man faces drug charges

WOODLAND – The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office narcotics division arrested Byron Joyner, 40, of Woodland during a routine traffic stop for window tint violation.
Consent was given to search the vehicle and a digital scale and some drug paraphernalia was found.
Joyner was taken into custody and taken to the Woodland Police Department where 13 grams of crack cocaine was found in Joyner’s possession. Agents also seized $261 US currency and Joyner was then transported to the Northampton County Detention Center.
He was charged with felony possession of crack cocaine, maintaining a vehicle to store a controlled substance, possession with intent to sale and deliver crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Joyner was given a $12,500 secured bond.
