MURFREESBORO – Albert “Al” Eugene Hill, Jr., age 82, of Murfreesboro, passed away on May 14, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on December 3, 1932 to the late Albert Eugene Hill, Sr. and Mildred White Hill in Murfreesboro, NC. Al was a self-employed electrician, dedicating his entire life to servicing his customers to the best of his ability. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, playing ball, walking, and building things were some of the things he enjoyed doing with them the most. Al was a mister “Fix It” to all that knew him. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Al was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Eugene Hill; and his brother, S. Bruce Hill.

Albert is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; his daughters, Teresa H. Kelley and husband Robert of Suffolk, VA, and Lorraine Jarvis of Courtland VA; two sisters, Betty Barrett and husband Rodney of Conway, NC, and Judy Faison and husband Albert of Franklin, VA; sister in law, Carol Hill of Murfreesboro, NC; three grandsons, Jason Eugene Hill and wife Lauren of Wilmington, NC, Christopher James Hill of Como, NC, and Robert Trevor Kelley of Suffolk, VA; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Kelley of Suffolk, VA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel – Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro, NC.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with the Rev. Monica Beachman officiating.
