WASHINGTON, NC – Ms. Ann Terry Brown Ward, age 67, a resident of Ridgewood Nursing Center of Washington, NC died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, September, 24, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home in Washington, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. The service will be officiated by Reverend Curtis White.

Ms. Ward was born in Washington, D.C. on January 31, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Andrew C. Brown Jr. and Mary Jane Bush Brown. Ms. Ward was a teacher at Lady Smith Elementary School in Caroline County, VA. and retired after 33 years of service. As a third grade teacher she was greatly loved and admired by the students, faculty and parents. Many parents would request her to be their child’s teacher. Ann Terry was also a well-loved and a very happy resident at Ridgewood Nursing Center.

Ms. Ward is survived by her daughter, Aimee “Suzanne” Ward of Bath, N.C.
