PENDLETON – Kathy Dunlow Cooke, 62, passed away October 10, 2015. She was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC and brought up in Franklin, VA. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and a member of Boykins Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her father, Luther L. Dunlow.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Allen Cooke; her mother, Katherine Baugham Dunlow of the home; a brother, J.L. Dunlow (Darlene) of Myrtle Beach, SC; a nephew, Michael Dunlow of Woodbridge, VA, a niece, Serenity Anne “Reni” Cooke; two brothers-in-law, Robert K. Cooke and Timothy H. Cooke (Becky); and four aunts, Bonnie Dunlow, Evelyn Baines (Aaron), Helen Caldwell and Pearl Brown (Alton).
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Boykins Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd T. Irby, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society for brain cancer research.
