Two jailed, one sought

JACKSON – Two heads are always better than one.

Recently, the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from their comrades in Hertford County, served felony arrest warrants on Jaquan Deloatch, 24, of Conway.

Deloatch was charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of injury to real property, one count of felony larceny, and one count of felony possession of stolen goods.

He was also charged with three counts of felony possession of stolen goods out of Hertford County. He was given a $70,000 secured bond and made his first appearance on Feb. 5.

Also arrested was Patrick Moore, 30, of Woodland. He was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony possession of stolen property, and one count of felony larceny.

He was given a $20,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11.

Meanwhile, arrest warrants are on file for Marques Daye of Conway. Daye has been charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, and one count of possession of stolen goods.

Daye has not been arrested and is still on the lam. The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on Daye’s whereabouts to call the Crimestoppers line at 252-534-1110 or call the Northampton County Sheriff’s at 252-534-2611.

The trio is suspected to have broken into a residence in Margarettsville on Feb. 4.

Northampton Sheriff Jack Smith would like to thank the Murfreesboro Police Department and the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in helping apprehended these suspects in a quick manner. He also thanked the members of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office for their persistence and quick response in this case.

“Working together with other agencies proved to be a great asset in this case,” Smith said. “The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate any and all complaints of suspicious activity in the county.”

Smith added that additional charges could be forthcoming against the trio.
