MURFREESBORO – Mary Louise Stanley Parker, 59, died June 21, 2016 at her home in the Vinson Mill Road community.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to her family and extended family. She had such a big heart and was known for it by her family and by others. Her well known statement was that “if I ever love you, I’ll love you forever”. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being with and meeting people.
A graduate of Chowan College she, by profession, was a Bookkeeper with Brown Mobile Homes in Murfreesboro having worked with them for 27 years until retirement. She will be remembered by her family as a very optimistic, faithful, strong, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Preceded in death by her parents, Donald Lee Stanley and Mary Louise Jones Stanley, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Stanley Parker of their home; children, Melinda Woodard and husband, Michael, Trey Parker and fiance’, Kayla Flower, Erin Honaker and husband, Scott; 11 grandchildren; and sisters, Vondie Rosalez and husband, Ramon, Nancy Conner, and Lisa Stelianou and husband, Paul; brothers, Donald Stanley and wife, Brenda, and William Stanley and wife, Michelle; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Parker will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Ross presiding. The family has requested that anyone wishing to share a memorial gift, please do so to Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church or to Chowan University.
