WINTON – Lorraine Holloman began her employment in 1985 with Hertford County Department of Social Services.

Her career began as an Eligibility Specialist I and she later became the Day Care Coordinator/Social Worker II.

During her career Holloman was very passionate about helping people, and the agency and the people she served always expressed their appreciation to her for that devotion.

Holloman has helped countless people during her tenure with Hertford County DSS in assuring that their child care needs were met.

Holloman stated, “It makes it all worthwhile when I have customers to see me and say thank you for helping me.”

Her retirement was effective Aug. 1.

Her days will now be occupied with family….spending time with her husband, Larry W. Holloman; two children; daughter, Alecia L. Holloman and a son, Kevin D. Holloman; and her seven lgrandchildren.

She is the daughter of Catherine M. Britt and the late Henry C. Britt Sr.
