Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.

It appears presidential candidate Hillary Clinton needs to take note of that excerpt from the play “Marmion” written by Sir Walter Scott.

FBI Director James B. Comey disclosed in a letter he sent Friday to members of Congress that his agency was again involved in an investigation of possible illegal activity surrounding Mrs. Clinton’s private email servers she directed underlings to install while she was serving as Secretary of State.

While we all know the outcome of the FBI’s first investigation earlier this year of Clinton’s alleged mishandling of classified documents ended with a slap on her wrist and without criminal charges, we’re currently in the proverbial dark about this latest probe, one that comes just a few days before the General Election on Nov. 8.

In response to this latest threat to her becoming president, Clinton called Comey’s timing “pretty strange” and implored the FBI Director to release more specific information about this latest investigation.

Meanwhile, Clinton pounced on her presidential rival Donald Trump on Saturday, saying his comments about the FBI’s current probe was meant to, “confuse and mislead the American people.”

I believe Mrs. Clinton has already cornered the market on confusing the facts and misleading Americans.

She has lied so often that it’s gotten to the point where she believes what’s she saying is actually true. It’s tough being a serial liar. They have to remember each and every detail of the story they are attempting to pass off as the truth. Any variation of that tall tale will be easily seen as a lie.

How many variations have we heard of her story concerning the private email servers, to include there was only one electronic device used (we later learned there were multiple), and that she was unaware of any of those emails being labeled classified (again, that was later determined as a lie as well).

How many times did she “spin” the reason for the attacks on the United States Embassy in Benghazi that left four Americans dead? That story developed to the point where she is quoted as saying, “What difference does it make now?”

While we do not yet actually know any specific details of this latest FBI probe, what should be disturbing to each and every American, particularly those casting votes in 2016, is that a presidential candidate is the subject of such an investigation. The FBI typically doesn’t get involved unless the case bears significance and is worth additional investigation.

What concerns me the most at this point is Hillary Clinton is the odds-on favorite to become our next president. I guess it needs to be said that any non-corrupt politician needs to cast the first stone at Mrs. Clinton, but to have this much negative press months before she raises her right hand and accepts the oath of office in January leaves this one American embarrassed to have to reference her as our national leader.

Moreover, an undercover video from James O’Keefe of Project Veritas shows several Democrat officials speaking candidly about the tactics employed to incite violence at Trump’s political rallies.

In the video, O’Keefe spoke with Scott Foval, National Field Director for Americans United for Change.

“We are contracted directly with the DNC (Democratic National Committee) and the campaign both,” Foval explained, adding that he’s contracted with Bob Creamer, founder of Democracy Partners, but answers to the head of special events for the DNC and the Clinton campaign.

“There’s a script of engagement,” Foval said on the video. “Sometimes the crazies bite and sometimes the crazies don’t bite.… The key is initiating the conflict by having leading conversations with people who are naturally psychotic. I mean, honestly, it’s not hard to get some of these … to pop off. It’s a matter of showing up, to want to get into the rally, in a Planned Parenthood t-shirt. Or, Trump is a Nazi, you know… You can…. draw them to punch you.”

More deception….more lies….more of the same from the left who appear to use any and every means necessary to keep a Democrat in the White House, even if they’re under an FBI investigation.
