Rich Square men arrested in B&E case

RICH SQUARE – Two men from Rich Square are under arrest for breaking and entering a home here on Nov. 30.

Rich Square Police Chief Altessie Taylor reports that McCoy Craig Williams, age 17, and 19-year-old Timarcus Lavonnte’ Britt were arrested and charged with the crime on Dec. 13.

Williams was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods/property, and misdemeanor damage to real property.

With the exception of the misdemeanor crime, Britt was charged for the same offenses.

Williams was jailed under a $15,500 secured bond while Britt’s bond was listed at $15,000 secured.

Both men made their initial appearances on Dec. 15 in Northampton County District Court.

Chief Taylor said the breaking and entering was reported at 121 Stanford Street. Rich Square Police Officer Harris Williams Jr. responded and the ensuing investigation by Taylor and Williams led to the arrest of the two men.

In an unrelated criminal report, Chief Taylor said she arrested 30-year-old Jacques Rondell Clark of Rich Square on Dec. 12 for driving while license revoked and communicating threats.

Clark was placed in Northampton County Detention Center under an $800 secured bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Jan. 17.
