JACKSON – Northampton County Manager Kimberly Turner submitted the Capital Improvement Plan proposal for approval before the county’s Board of Commissioners at the meeting held on March 20.
The plan spans a five-year period from 2017 through 2022. The total cost for this plan will be a little over $7 million. Turner added that the allocation of funds would be discussed at the annual budget meeting.
Commissioner Charles Tyner brought up concerns about the allocation of funds for this plan, citing the proposal for the water department to purchase a new truck every year.
Board Chairman Robert Carter reminded his colleagues that this issue would be discussed at the budget meeting.
The Capital Improvement Plan proposal was accepted and approved by the board.
