Miller pursues acting career

NEW YORK CITY – Alan Matthew Miller, a native of Ahoskie, has moved to New York City where he is pursuing a career in theatre.
Miller holds a MFA in acting from UNC-Greensboro. He is currently working towards gaining a Teacher Certification at the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium.
He has also trained at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.
His acting credits consist of the Travel Channel’s Mysteries at the Museum (Joe Louis), “Up From Slavery” by Lionheart Films, and “Ramification” – a short film.
Miller has worked professionally with Playmakers Repertory Theatre in Chapel Hill and Triad Stage in Greensboro where he performed for two years in “A Christmas Carol.”
Alan is marred to Shalisa Miller. His mother is Cynthia Edwards; he has one sister, Meagan Edwards; and his grandparents are Robert and Elizabeth Daniels, all of Ahoskie.
