COLERAIN, NC – Suzanne Bowen, age 55, passed away on April 12, 2017 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC following a brief battle with cancer.

Suzanne was born on May 10, 1961 in Windsor, NC. She was a daughter of George and Nelda Northcott Bowen. She was a graduate of Bertie High School and Pitt Community College with a degree in Commercial Art. Suzanne worked at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC for nearly 28 years in the Medical Records Department.

Suzanne was a member and Deacon of Mars Hill Baptist Church where she served as Bulletin and Flower Coordinator, Co-Chair of the Missions Committee, and Chairman of the Hospitality Committee.

Suzanne is survived by her parents, George and Nelda Northcott Bowen of the home; sister, Beth Ellen Bowen of Colerain, NC; two aunts, Katherine Northcott of Colerain, NC, and Syble Meeks of Fayetteville, NC; two uncles, Claude Bowen and his wife Faye of Clayton, NC, and Jimmy Bowen and his wife Dianne of Point St. Lucia, Florida.

The family will receive friends anytime at the home on 808 Morris Ford Road, Colerain, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Mars Hill Baptist Church, 1325 Meadow Road, Colerain, NC, with the Rev. Billy Presley and the Rev. Garry Mickey officiating.
