L.E. “Josh” Tripp

AULANDER, NC – Linwood Earl “Josh” Tripp, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

Mr. Tripp was born in Bertie County on September 19, 1932, and was the son of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Elizabeth Pollard Tripp. A lifelong farmer and an avid fisherman, he was known and loved for his contagious cackling laugh.

A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Hope and Frank Gosser of Edenton, and Annette and Sammy Farmer, and Donna and Mutt Askew, all of Aulander; his sister, Geraldine Keech of Belhaven; six grandchildren, Brad, Stephanie, Justin, Adam, Brandon, and Josh; and five great-grandchildren, Alden, Noah, Kennedy, Weston, and Lilly.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Ebenezer Assembly of God Church, 809 NC Hwy 305, Aulander, and will be conducted by the Rev. Tim Parker.
