NEWPORT, NC – Frederick Louis Myers, age 88, formerly of Ahoskie, passed away on March 10, 2018 at the Carteret General Hospital of Morehead City, NC.

Mr. Myers was born on June 14, 1929 to William Jackson “W.J.” and Nancy Leary Myers in Ahoskie, NC. Frederick graduated from Ahoskie High School and later graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor’s degree in business, always a Demon Deacon at heart. He worked as a manufacturing representative for Broyhill Furniture Industry before retiring after 20 years. Frederick enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Stephens, and his brother, Jennings Myers.

Frederick is survived by his wife Linda of the home; two sons, Rick Myers of Kinston, NC, and Bill Myers of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Christina Myers of Goldsboro, NC, Ashley Myers of Atlanta, William Jennings Myers of Atlanta, Jessica Leigh Myers of Atlanta, and Taylor Myers of Greenville, NC; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will have a private graveside celebration of life service.
