COLERAIN, NC – Vandy George Miller 74, of Buncomb Road, Colerain, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home. He was born in Bertie County on October 16, 1943 to the late Ellis Nelson and Ever White Miller and was predeceased by a brother, Richard W. Miller.

Vandy was a poultry farmer.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Windsor. Rev. Johnnie Barber will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Colerain.

Survivors include his wife, Essie Casper Miller of the home; daughter, Pamela M Gardner and husband, Ernie, children Andrew and Benjamin Kuhn and Joshua Gardner, all of Jamesville; son, Nelson Miller and wife, Holly, children, Alyssa and Aidan Miller and Chleo Holloman, all of Ahoskie; sister, Rosa A. Brown and husband Marvin; and nieces, Wanda Mizelle and husband Jimmy and their child, Christopher; and Lisa Roughton and her husband John, all of Elm Grove.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 18 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor and from the home at other times.
